Temporary changes to The Practice Hawkwell – from Monday 6 April 2020
As you are aware the NHS is currently dealing with the Coronovirus pandemic and in order to help us to help you, the practice needs to make some temporary changes to continue to provide healthcare and advice when you and your family need it most.
From Monday 6 April, you will NOT be able to walk into The Practice Hawkwell any longer.
Should you need to speak to your practice, you will need to call the practice telephone number 01702 207 146 in the same way as you always have. You will then be assessed by a GP/Practice Nurse who will either resolve your concern over the telephone or, if they believe you need to be seen they will make an appointment for you to see a GP/Practice Nurse. Please note this may not your practice, but they will have access to your records.
To ensure that primary care is sustainable during these challenging times. Should your GP/Practice Nurse determine that you need to be seen. We are offering face to face appointments at a practice at The Practice Leecon Way. The details of which will be given to you by the GP/nurse referring you.
We very much appreciate your help and support during these difficult times. It is important that we all do our bit to support the NHS locally as it continues to see and treat you, your family and friends.
Please do not come into the surgery if you or a member of your household has any of the following symptoms: a fever, a new continuous cough or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia). Please stay at home and self-isolate for 14 days.
We have changed the way we book our appointments in response to the latest Government guidance on COVID-19. All patients who request any type of appointment will first be telephoned by a clinician. The clinician will assess you and determine how best to meet your care needs. If you do not need to come into the surgery, you will be given the appropriate self-care advice, treatment and information on what to do if you become more unwell. You will be offered an appointment if it is essential for you to be seen face to face. Thank you for your cooperation during this time.
The latest COVID-19 guidance and information can be from here gov.uk and at nhs.uk.
